PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug connector with a latch mechanism that can solve the problem of a conventional plug connector with a latch mechanism that the protection function against an external force load is low and thus the plug connector is easily broken.SOLUTION: A plug connector 1 with a latch mechanism has at least a cylindrical slender case, a cable connecting shell included in the case, and a plurality of contacts included in the case while electrically connected to the shell at one end sides thereof and also electrically connected to contacts of a receptacle as a fitting partner at the other end sides thereof. A fitting and fixing latch portion formed of an elastic piece is provided at the outer peripheral portion of the case, and the plug connector with the latch mechanism is inserted and fitted in the receptacle as a fitting partner. The position of the lower end surface of the tip portion of the latch portion in the radial direction is located lower than the position of the outer peripheral surface of the fitting opening portion of the case so that the gap of a latch movable portion between the outer peripheral surface of the case and the lower end surface of the tip portion of the latch portion is not viewed from the fitting opening portion side of the plug connector.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
