PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collation device and a collation method that can achieve collation with higher accuracy.SOLUTION: A collation device 1 includes an image acquisition part 11, a parameter calculation part 12, an image evaluation part 13, an evaluation result notification part 14, a collation part 15, a storage part 16, and a collation result notification part 17. The parameter calculation part 12 includes a face position calculation part 121, a face size calculation part 122, a standing position calculation part 123, and a blur degree calculation part 124 to calculate, as parameters, the position of a face, the size of a face, a standing position, and the degree of blur.
