The invention provides an element supply device and an element supply method which can raise element supply efficiency of an element carrying unit so as to raise productivity. A control portion moves a charging tray to a second bench from a charging tray supply portion by transfer arms in a period of completing the carrying work, in which charging trays of a first work bench are used as objects to be moved to a second position. Then, the control portions declines the second work bench to a third position and then to a four position. In addition, the second work bench is standby at the fourth position unit the charging trays on the first work bench take out all elements. If the carrying work using the charging trays on the first work bench as objects is completed, the control portion moves the first work bench to the first position from the second position, and then rises the second work bench to the second position. |
