<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding container which has high compressive strength and can be folded easily in the height direction, and to provide a method for manufacturing the folding container. <P>SOLUTION: The folding container is formed of a thermoplastic resin sheet includes a bottom wall, a bottom sidewall, an inclined intermediate sidewall, and a top sidewall, and is made foldable (or expandable and contractible) in the height direction. The intermediate sidewall has at least one crooked wall structure so that a first hinge, a movable sidewall (or crooked sidewall) to be moved by a folding operation, a second hinge, a supporting sidewall to be deformed by the folding operation are formed successively toward the outside from the inside. Each of the first and second hinges is formed into a circular rib-like shape having a U-shaped cross section which is opened to the side of an opening of the container. When a line perpendicular to the surface of the bottom wall is defined as a reference line in a contracted state, the movable sidewall is inclined outward from the reference line at 105-145° angle θ1 and the supporting sidewall is inclined outward from the reference line at 3-45° angle θ2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
