摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To run a hybrid vehicle while maintaining an operation state of a power dividing mechanism.SOLUTION: An engine and a motor generator are connected via a power dividing mechanism. The engine is connected to a carrier, the motor generator is connected to a sun gear, and drive wheels are connected to a ring gear. Further, a clutch is provided which engages two elements, and a clutch is provided which fixes one element. By releasing these clutches, engine power is divided to the motor generator and the drive wheels (PS2 mode). If SOC is an upper limit value SH or more in the PS2 mode, the motor generator is controlled to a negative rotation side and assumes a power-running state (S3). Meanwhile, if SOC is a lower limit value SL or below, the motor generator is controlled to a positive rotation side and assumes a regeneration state (S6). Accordingly, overcharging and overdischarging of a battery can be avoided, and a travel state of a hybrid vehicle can be continued.
