PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame retardant which can provide excellent fire retardancy to a flame-retardant resin composition when being blended in the flame-retardant resin composition, and can sufficiently suppress segregation of a silicone-based compound, and to provide a method for manufacturing a flame-retardant resin composition using the same.SOLUTION: A flame retardant contains: inorganic compound particles; and a silicone-based compound deposited on at least a part of the surface of the inorganic compound particles. The average particle size of the inorganic compound particles is 15.0 μm or less. |
