Thermal energy supply installation with an open ground storage device

The heat energy supply system has a unit, particularly an underground storage tank (E) that is downwardly open corresponding to a ground surface (G1) of the soil with an upper and a side circumferential insulation and sealing structure, which is formed of a conduit (Rn). A conduit layer is formed in a horizontal plane, which lies below a filling position (V1) from the the soil arranged inside the insulation and sealing structure. A solar thermal system is provided for production of solar heat stored in a fluid of a collector circuit.
