A device for covering an intermediate space in vehicles is already known per se. A cover, is stretched over the intermediate space. Said cover can be formed by a flexible film and can be made of a textile or plastic material. The aim of the invention, is to create an interior panel for a vehicle, which can be produced using the requisite tools at very low cost. Said interior paneling for a vehicle consists of a flat section made of a flexible material. According to the invention, at lest one mechanically moveable adjustment element is provided below or on the edge of the section, enabling the section to be deformed. The flexible section, created by using conventional paneling parts, does not require expensive shaping tools. The weight of the covering parts is reduced by virtue of the fact that flexible materials such as woven textiles are significantly lighter than corresponding rigid covers.
