Disclosed is a method for decoding an image, which comprises the following steps of: acquiring prediction mode information of a current block from a beat stream; determining a prediction movement vector candidate from movement vectors of surrounding blocks of the current block when a prediction mode of the current block is an inter-prediction mode; determining a prediction movement vector of the current block of the prediction movement vector candidate; and acquiring a movement vector of the current block based on a difference vector from the prediction movement vector and the beat stream. Moreover, the surrounding blocks comprises: a first block placed in a left lower portion of the current block; a second block placed in an upper side of the first block; a third block placed in a right upper side of the current block; a fourth block placed in the left of the third block; and a fifth block placed in a left upper portion of the current block.
