<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly economical electrode unit for use in electrolytic cells of a zero-gap type, whose manufacturing cost can be controlled to the extent practicable. <P>SOLUTION: Of the constituent members of an electrode unit constituting an electrolytic cell of a gap type, an anode 20 and an electrode-supporting frame that supports the anode 20 on one side of a separation wall and a cathode on the other side are employed without modification in an electrode unit for use in electrolytic cells of a zero-gap type. In place of the cathode, a cathode structure 30 that supports an active cathode 33 via a conductive elastic body 32 in a manner of allowing the same to move back and forth, is attached to the front side of the cathode which is used as a back plate 31. Thus, an electrode unit used in electrolytic cells of a gap type is converted to an electrode unit for use in electrolytic cells of a zero-gap type, with slight modification. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
