HIGH-SPEED PRINTER

PURPOSE: To enable simplex or duplex high speed printing selectively by storing and retrieving the words with raster memory of pages using various memory sections. CONSTITUTION: The raster memory 26 stores all picture elements and their maps of two pages to be printed by the printer. The stored data is readable from the page memory and/or the form memory in the direction of the top line to the bottom of the page or viceversa (the 1st direction and the 2nd direction). The reversible counting counter is provided with an address allocation unit in order to allocate the address of the word stored in the raster memory 26 and the word stored in the raster form memory 28. Then it enables to read any part of the page memory and form memory in the two directions and achieve the simplex printing or duplex printing selectively.
