DISPLAY APPARATUS BEING CAPABLE OF SENSING IMAGE

A display device capable of image sensing, comprising a display area wherein an image is displayed and a peripheral area surrounding the display area, includes a display unit located in the display area to generate transmitted light to display an image; a protection layer, wherein the transmitted light generated by the display unit is penetrated into one direction, receiving reflected light of the transmitted light which is penetrated into the outside and being arranged in either the upper or lower direction of the display unit; and a sensing unit sensing the reflected light which penetrates the protection layer and generating an image based on an energy level of the sensed reflected light. The transmitted light sequentially penetrates the sensing unit and the protection layer. The purpose of the present invention is to provide the display device capable of image sensing to minimize a size of an additional sensor.
