摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method that uses a photocurable type inkjet ink satisfying both the stability of gelling and photocuring capacity of ink liquid droplets.SOLUTION: The image forming method includes a process of ejecting ink liquid droplets of the photocurable type inkjet ink which contains a color material, a gelling agent, a photopolymerizable compound and a photopolymerization initiator and undergoes sol gel phase transition, from a recording head and adhering the same onto a recording medium; and a process of irradiating, with light from an LED light source, the liquid droplets hit on the recording medium to cure the liquid droplets. The gelling agent is contained within the range of 1.0-7.0 mass% to the whole ink. The photopolymerizable compound includes a (meth)acrylate compound that has a molecular weight of 280-1,500 and a ClogP value within the range of 4-7, and a polyester acrylate oligomer. The (meth)acrylate compound is contained within the range of 10-40 mass% and the polyester acrylate oligomer is contained within the range of 5.0-20.0 mass%, to the whole amount of ink.
