<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a steam barrier film which has high water vapor barrier performance and is excellent in bending resistance and smoothness and to provide the steam barrier film and electronic equipment obtained by using the steam barrier film. <P>SOLUTION: The steam barrier film 10 includes at least two steam barrier layers 3 (for example, a first steam barrier layer and a second steam barrier layer) on a base material 1 and further includes at least one hydrolyzable compound-containing hydrolysis layer 4 between the steam barrier layers 3.
