The present invention is to check the health of fish being raised on a fish farm in an easy and speedy manner. The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for monitoring the health of farming fish. The apparatus comprises a detection unit kept afloat on the surface of water to detect the level of oscillation thereof; and a monitoring unit to determine the health level of the farming fish according to oscillation signals transmitted from the detection unit wired or wirelessly, thereby allowing users to detect infectious diseases in an early stage in the case that fish being raised in the fish farm are infected with the diseases.
