<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable intuitive and instant grasp of the size of a subject. <P>SOLUTION: An index image storage part 61 stores data on an index image serving as an index of length. An image acquisition part 51 acquires data on an original image containing a subject. An image measurement part 15 measures the length of a main subject contained in the original image on the basis of data on the original image obtained by the image acquisition part 51.
