摘要 The invention provides a liquid crystal alignment agent, a liquid crystal alignment film, a liquid crystal display element and a manufacturing method for the liquid crystal display element. By means of the liquid crystal alignment agent, the desired tilt angle of a film is realized with a less amount of light irradiation amount. Meanwhile, the liquid crystal display element is excellent in heat resistance. The liquid crystal alignment agent comprises a base polymer represented in the formula (1). In the formula (1), X represents hydrogen atom or a methyl group; L represents a single bond or a C1-20 alkanediyl, wherein 1-10 times interruption can be realized by non-adjacent oxygen atoms in the alkanediyl; Y is a single bond, -o-, -COO-, -OCO-, or-OCOO-; and ring A is a naphthalene ring.
