An optical system is disposed on a light path, wherein light emitted from a light emitting unit and radiated on an object to be detected is reflected from the object to be detected and reaches a light receiving unit. The optical system concentrates the light to allow dislocation of a regular reflection light receiving range of the light from the light emitting unit and a diffused reflection light receiving range in the light receiving unit to become within a certain range in a vertical scanning direction which is a moving direction of the object to be detected. In a direction orthogonal to the moving direction, the light is refracted for a light receiving range which includes the regular reflection light receiving range and the diffused reflection light receiving range to become wider in the orthogonal direction rather than the vertical scanning direction. |
