The present invention relates to a method for treating lettuce seeds for increasing a germination rate wherein, more specifically, high temperature germination properties and a sprout expression rate at high temperatures of the lettuce seeds can be increased by impregnating the lettuce seeds with a solution at low temperatures before seeding the lettuce seeds. The method for treating lettuce seeds for increasing a germination rate includes the following steps: impregnating the lettuce seeds with distilled water; washing the lettuce seed impregnated with water; and drying the lettuce seeds at room temperature.
