Disclosed is a terminal. The present invention is to provide a knock code input method and the terminal using the same. The terminal includes: a user input unit for receiving user input; and a control unit for sensing inputs of multiple users which are applied to a certain area of the user input unit and booting an operation system of the terminal if the sensed user inputs match a predetermined pattern. Accordingly, user convenience can be increased.
