1. A method for reducing power consumption in an electronic device including a self-emitting type display, the method comprising:
responsive to an application being initiated, obtaining image data comprising a plurality of image layers for the application; adding a gray layer to the plurality of image layers; determining merging sequence of the gray layer and the plurality of image layers based on the application; merging the gray layer and the plurality of image layers according to the determined merging sequence to generate a screen of the application; and supplying a necessary driving power for the self-emitting type display to display the screen of the application, wherein the gray is arranged between any two image layers among the plurality of image layers based on the application, and is not arranged above a top image layer and below a bottom image layer of the plurality of image layers. |
