Apparatus for artificial respiration comprises a bag, having a lining or insert of sponge rubber or similar material, the resilience of which ensures return of the bag to its full volume after it has been compressed. In one form described a thin bag 1 is provided with a sponge lining 2, reinforced at its ends 3, to ensure rapid return to its maximum volume. An orifice 6 is connected to a non-return inlet valve 4 while a second orifice 5 is connected through an outlet valve to a face mask 11. |
