<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of significant volume variations by reducing differences in volume between acoustic signals. <P>SOLUTION: A volume control device 1 includes: level adjustment means for adjusting a signal level of an input signal according to adjustment information to generate a level detection signal; level determination means for deciding the adjustment information on the basis of the signal level of the input signal and outputting it to the level adjustment means; attack time control means 12 for determining an attack time determination value on the basis of a variation in a signal level of the level detection signal; level control means 13 for generating from the level detection signal a correction signal with a correction speed increasing in proportion to the attack time determination value; and multiplication means 10 for multiplying the input signal by the correction signal. The level determination means outputs for the level detection signal the adjustment information so as to maintain the signal level at L-Hi when the signal level of the input signal is a value lower than T-Low, and outputs for the level detection signal the adjustment information so as to skip adjusting the signal level of the input signal when the signal level is a value equal to or higher than T-Hi. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
