PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component feeder capable of reliably inserting a tip of a blade between a base tape and a top tape of a moving carrier tape.SOLUTION: A component feeder 10 feeds a carrier tape including a base tape 204 and a top tape with both ends 210a and 210b in a tape width direction stuck to the base tape 204. The component feeder 10 includes: a tape path P for allowing a carrier tape 200, which has a concave portion 204e in a corner 204d formed by a main plane 204a and a front end 204c of the base tape 204 facing a part of the top tape 206 being not stuck to the base tape 204, to move in a tape feed direction A; a sprocket 16 which engages with a feed hole 208 of the carrier tape 200 and rotates to feed the carrier tape 200; and a blade 20 with a tip 20a which enters into the concave portion 204e of the base tape 204 of the carrier tape 200 being fed in the tape feed direction A along the tape path P by the sprocket 16. |
