The cage rotor has a rotor lamination stack with grooves and operating rods (6) arranged in the grooves. The operating rods have a partial casing (9) which encases a surface of the operating rods lying outside in radial direction (12) of the cage rotor. The material of the operating rods has a higher specification conductance than the material of the partial casing. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an asynchronous machine with an inductor; and (2) a method for manufacturing a cage rotor.
