METHOD OF IMPROVING PERFORMANCE OF THE CABLE FIXING APPARATUS AND A CABLE FIXING APPARATUS USING THE SAME METHOD

The present invention relates to a cable fixing apparatus using a grip socket and a method for improving performance of a cable fixing apparatus using the same. The cable fixing apparatus for fixing a cable into a socket includes a grip socket which surrounds and fixates an end of the cable and a pressing ring which is pressed in the outer circumference of the grip socket, wherein the pressing ring reinforces the compression force of the cable by pressing the grip socket. A method for improving performance of a cable fixing apparatus comprises: a grip socket installation step of joining a grip socket; a pressing ring installation step of applying compression force by using a ring-shaped pressing ring; a pressing ring assembly step of assembling the pressing ring by screwing or by using a steel wire; and an end cap installation step of fixing an end of the cable by fitting an end cap into an end cap inlet of the grip socket to prevent the end of the cable from loosening. Accordingly, shear resistance and friction resistance are maximized to prevent shear failure and sliding failure the cable.
