The present invention discloses a circumstance sensing system and a method thereof. The circumstance sensing system according to one aspect of the present invention comprises: a plurality of sensors to sense a surrounding environment of a vehicle as placed on a specific position of the vehicle, and to include a first group of sensors and a second group of sensors; and a control module to perform a parking assist function by communicating with the first group of sensors according to a gear position and the speed of the vehicle through local interconnect network (LIN) communication and to perform a blind spot sensing function by communicating with the second group of sensors through the LIN communication.
