NA BASED SECONDARY BATTERY

The present invention relates to a sodium secondary battery having excellent high rate properties. The sodium secondary battery comprises: a negative electrode containing sodium; a positive electrode which contains a metal active material, sodium halide and a sodium salt capable of being acted as an electrolyte by being melted at an operating temperature of the sodium secondary battery, and is impregnated in a liquid electrolyte; and a solid electrolyte provided between the negative electrode and the positive electrode and having sodium ion conductivity. The sodium salt contained in the positive electrode forms a porous structure of 10 to 40 vol% inside the positive electrode by being melted at an operating temperature of the sodium secondary battery.
