The present invention relates to a horizontal type arrangement structure of a ship propulsion engine. More specifically, the horizontal type arrangement structure of a ship propulsion engine installed in an engine chamber of a ship, wherein a cylinder and a piston are positioned on a left side and a right side of a crank shaft disposed in an advancing direction of the ship based on the crank shaft of a ship propulsion engine. According to the present invention, the ship propulsion engine installed in the engine chamber of the ship is changed from a vertical type arrangement to a horizontal type arrangement to reduce the vertical height of the engine as compared with the existing engine in order to lower the center of gravity to increase stability and reduce vibration and noise, and the propulsion engine can be arranged as close to a stern as possible to increase a cargo loading space, reduce the length and the weight of a propeller shaft, and be easily installed and maintained to prevent, in advance, an accident. |
