Disclosed are: an apparatus for enhancing a navigation solution of a platform and a portable device; and a method. Motion sensor data corresponding to the motion of the portable device can be obtained. Therefore, a first filter is constituted to output the navigation solution. At least one second filter is constituted to use the motion sensor data so as to generate at least one value. The afterwards generated value can be used with the first filter so as to enhance navigation solution output by the first filter.
