The present invention relates to a multimedia apparatus which can provide content, that a user wants, as high-definition content, and a method for providing high definition content thereof. The method of the present invention comprises the following steps: recording content of a current channel broadcast which is being received; analyzing definition of the recorded content when the recording of the content is completed; obtaining high-definition content by searching for the same content having higher definition than the analyzed content; and replacing the recorded content with the obtained high-definition content. |
