Disclosed is a system and a method to predict a welding strain. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the welding strain predicting system comprises: a unit member defining unit which defines a plurality of unit members forming an object based on the shape information of the object; a welding strain interpreting unit which draws the out-of-plane deformation of each unit member regarding a size of a fillet welding; and a prediction data drawing unit which grasps a modification-required unit member which needs modifications as the out-of-plane deformation exceeds a permissible amount among the unit members, and draws a modification area ratio based on the same.
