PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel that has a high strength even when reduced in thickness, thereby being advantageously prevented from being deformed.SOLUTION: A lens barrel comprises, in an optical path, optical element switching means for inserting or retracting at least one optical element. The optical element switching means includes a movable filter movement frame 14 and a sheet member 17 fixed to the filter movement frame 14. Filters 15, 16 are fixed to the sheet member 17 and are moved between the inside of the optical path and the outside of the optical path by the movement of the filter movement frame 14.
