PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a location control of a slider to be accurately conducted as attaining low costs in an intermediate transfer device 30 configured to enable primary transfer rollers 14a to 14d to vertically perform a reciprocal drive in conjunction with a slider 35 reciprocally moving along an advancement direction of an intermediate transfer belt 5.SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer device comprises: a drive motor 41 for driving a slider 35; a cam mechanism 60 that lies between the drive motor 41 and the slider 35 and causes the slider 35 to perform a reciprocal drive; first to third protrusion plate parts 36e to 36g that are formed in a side face along a movement direction of the slider 35 in the slider 35, and are lined up with an interval spaced in the movement direction thereof; and a detection sensor 38 that optically detects passages of the first to third protrusion plate parts 36e to 36g. A length along the movement direction of the slider 35 in each of the first to third protrusion plate parts 36e to 36g, and an interval between the first to third protrusion plate parts 36e to 36g therein have a mutually different length.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
