PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ejector having a gas-liquid separation space, capable of improving gas-liquid separation performance in the gas-liquid separation space without causing an increase in the pressure loss of refrigerant flowing out from a diffuser passage.SOLUTION: A conical passage formation member 35 is disposed within a body 30, and a nozzle passage for decompressing high-pressure refrigerant and injecting the refrigerant, a diffuser passage 13c mixing the injected refrigerant with absorbed refrigerant to increase a pressure of the resultant refrigerant, and a swirl acceleration passage 13d accelerating the refrigerant flowing out from the diffuser passage 13c to flow swirling and discharging the swirling refrigerant toward a gas-liquid separation space 30f by a current plate 40 are formed in a clearance between the body 30 and the passage formation member 35. In this case, a swirl outlet height h2 that is an axial dimension of a most downstream portion in a refrigerant flow of the swirl acceleration passage 13d is set larger than a diffuser outlet height h1 that is an axial dimension of a most downstream portion in the refrigerant flow of the diffuser passage 13c.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
