[Problem] To manufacture a metal nanowire having improved length distribution uniformity and reduced prevalence of short nanowires. [Solution] A method for manufacturing a metal nanowire having improved length distribution uniformity, in which: metal nanowires are caused to flow together with the flow of a liquid medium within a tubular channel that has, on the channel wall surface, a porous ceramic filter having an average pore diameter of 1.0 μm or above as measured by the mercury penetration method; some of the flowing metal nanowires are discharged with some of the liquid medium through the porous ceramic filter to the exterior of the tubular channel; and the metal nanowires that have continued to flow in the channel without being discharged to the exterior of the tubular channel are recovered. |
