THERMOANAEROBACTERIUM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING ETHANOL BY USING SAME

Provided are a Thermoanaerobacterium and a method for producing ethanol by using the same. The strain is Thermoanaerobacterium aotearoense P8G3#4, and is collected by China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center; and the collection number is CGMCC NO.9000, and the collection date is April 3, 2014. The method for producing ethanol by using the strain comprises: preparing a Thermoanaerobacterium CGMCC 9000 seed solution; inoculating the Thermoanaerobacterium CGMCC 9000 seed solution into a fermentation culture medium at the inoculum volume of 10 to 15%w/w, and stirring and culturing under anaerobic conditions; and finally, separating ethanol from the fermentation liquid.
