A method for providing a social network service according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a relationship index generation step of generating a relationship index between different first and second objects from relationship information between the first and second objects registered in a social network; an intimacy index computation step of computing an intimacy index between the first object and the second object by considering the relationship index, wherein the intimacy index includes a first intimacy index corresponding to a first relationship index received at a first time, a second intimacy index corresponding to a second relationship index received at a second time later than the first time, and a third intimacy index obtained by adding the second intimacy index to the first intimacy index; and a state information generation step of extracting state information of the first object related to the second object by considering the intimacy index, wherein the state information includes first state information generated at the first time to correspond to the first intimacy index and second state information generated at the second time to correspond to the third intimacy index.
