A balloon (14) of a catheter (10A) has an elastic stretchable inner layer (24) and outer layer (26). A cylindrical reticular reinforcing member (28) is arranged between the inner layer (24) and the outer layer (26). The reinforcing member (28) has a first end section (31) and a second end section (32) in the axial direction thereof, and an intermediate section (34) spanning between the first end section (31) and the second end section (32).
