The present invention relates to an information providing apparatus for a visually handicapped person, and relates to an information providing apparatus for a visually handicapped person, displaying various pieces of information necessary for the visually handicapped person in braille or a voice capable of being identified by the visually handicapped person according to an operation performance mode, thereby providing improved user experience, and sharing a photographed image with other designated individuals, thereby improving the accuracy of the information and also improving the convenience and safety of the visually handicapped person. According to one embodiment of the present invention, an information providing apparatus for a visually handicapped person is disclosed. The information providing apparatus comprises: a camera unit for generating image information by photographing an outside image; a control unit for extracting character information from the image information and converting the extracted character information into braille information and/or voice information; a braille display unit for displaying braille on the basis of the braille information; a voice output unit for outputting the voice information; and a housing unit in which the camera unit is disposed at one region thereof, wherein in the housing unit, a focal length maintaining unit for securing a minimum focal distance of the camera unit is spaced apart and protruded from a lens of the camera unit. |
