A laser processing head is provided with: a nozzle disposed at the distal end of the laser processing head; a condensing lens disposed inside the laser processing head, said condensing lens condensing laser light caused to oscillate by a laser oscillator; a protective glass disposed inside the laser processing head, said glass protecting the condensing lens; a cross jet formation mechanism disposed between the nozzle and the protective glass inside the laser processing head; and an air jetting mechanism disposed in the nozzle. The cross jet formation mechanism forms a cross jet flow that is parallel to the surface of the protective glass. The air jetting mechanism jets air for forming a flow of air that blocks the flow of fumes heading towards the cross jet flow from the location on the workpiece where laser processing is performed. |
