Provided are Ebola virus-specific microRNA precursor sequences or mature sequences thereof and a use thereof in the preparation of reagents and kits for detecting the Ebola virus. Also provided are inhibitors aimed at the microRNA precursor sequences or mature sequences thereof and a use thereof in treating Ebola virus infections.
