FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to functional diagnostics, and can be used to determine effectiveness of conservative treatment of cancer not enlarged ovaries. Abdominal ultrasound is performed. Method includes detecting occurrence of secondary metastatic changes, determining location of lower and side edges of affected greater omentum. Using a standard sensor for abdominal investigations with operating frequency 3.5 Mhz series of parallel crosswise cuts in mode of panoramic scanning from right to left edges of greater omentum with step - 0.5 cm from lower surface of transverse colon to lower edge of rendered changed greater omentum. Using a program for area measurement irregular formations, contained in apparatus, section area of greater omentum is measured on each of performed scans. Volume of the greater omentum is determined - V. At stages of dynamic observation during conservative anticancer therapy previous algorithm of survey is repeated.
