PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can improve the strength of an exterior opening/closing cover that rotates on a rotation shaft provided on a lower side and opens in the vertical direction, and suppress a noise from leaking from a surface having the exterior opening/closing cover provided thereon in the image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: In a copier 500 having a noise absorption device 600 that uses a Helmholtz resonator, and a front opening/closing cover 101 that is an exterior opening/closing cover that can open/close with respect to an apparatus body, the front opening/closing cover 101 has a multilayer structure stacking the front opening/closing cover 101 that is an opening/closing cover rotating around a rotation shaft provided on the lower side thereof and is at least partially a plurality of pieces of plate-like members, and an opening/closing cover inner wall member 1010; and the noise absorption device 600 is formed with a space between the front opening/closing cover 101 and the opening/closing cover inner wall member 1010 constituting the multilayer structure as a cavity part of the Helmholtz resonator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
