PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon catalyst having a small average particle diameter, a high pore volume, and others, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A carbon catalyst comprises carbon atoms, nitrogen atoms, and transition metals, and also comprises mesopores with a pore size of 2.0 nm or more and 50 nm or less based on BJH method, the mesopores have a pore volume of 0.90 cm/g or more, a BET specific surface area is 1,000-2,500 m/g, and an average particle diameter is 0.010-0.50 μm.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
