According to the present invention, a gene amplification and detection apparatus comprises: a gene amplifying chip including a chamber formed inside; a reaction solution which fills the chamber and includes a fluorescent material; a light source arranged on one side of the gene amplifying chip; a light detector arranged on the other side of the gene amplifying chip; and a graphene heater formed inside or outside of the gene amplifying chip so as to heat the reaction solution. The gene amplification and detection apparatus of the present invention performs heat-cycling to amplify a gene using the graphene heater, and detects a gene through a light path penetrating through the graphene heater and the reaction solution.
