A method of driving a display panel includes a step of generating first compensation data corresponding to a first frame and a second compensation data corresponding to a second frame adjacent to the first frame, based on a first gray scale data, a step of outputting the first compensation data to a data driving part in the first frame, a step of outputting first smoothing data which has a value between the first compensation data and the second compensation data to the data driving part in the second frame, and a step of outputting the second compensation data to the data driving part in an n^th (n is a natural number) frame after the second frame. Thereby, the display quality of the display panel can be improved.
