摘要 Provided is a mining vehicle that accurately determines a travel road condition in front of the host vehicle, and even when approaching a curved road from a straight road, by means of a distance detection means, prevents incorrect detection of a roadside obstacle and is capable of stable vehicle speed control. In the mining vehicle, which travels on a mine transport road, are provided: a minimum roadside distance determination means; a travel state computation means that computes the travel state of the vehicle and the turn radius of said vehicle; a roadside distance computation means that computes a roadside distance between the vehicle and the roadside of the transport road; a roadside distance selection means that selects/outputs a minimum roadside distance if said travel state is a straight state, and selects/outputs the roadside distance computed by the roadside distance computation means if said travel state is a turning state; a detection distance restriction means that, for a signal for a distance and a relative angle, said distance and said relative angle being to an object detected by the distance detection means, disables a signal for a distance farther than the distance selected/output by the roadside distance selection means; and a vehicle speed control means that on the basis of the signal from the detection distance restriction means, controls the vehicle speed.
