PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile robot capable of surely moving without falling off from a cylindrical body.SOLUTION: A mobile robot according to the present invention that moves on a cylindrical body whose surface is made of metal and along its axial direction comprises a body part, at least a pair of wheel parts arranged on both sides of the body part and rotationally driven, and a holding part mounted to the body part and having a pair of holding members mounted to the body part and sandwiching the cylindrical body from radially outward. Each of the wheel parts comprises a base, a plurality of bar-like members radially projecting from the base, and a magnet mounted on a tip of each bar-like member. A contact angle of the magnet with respect to the surface of the cylindrical body can be adjusted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
