PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical adjustment apparatus for enabling alignment of printheads within a print carriage.SOLUTION: A printhead support structure comprises: receiving means to receive a printhead; a first portion 110' and a second portion 120' having adjustment means therebetween for converting a translational movement of the first portion to a rotational movement of the second portion; and means of coupling the second portion to the receiving means for adjusting a rotational angle of the printhead. A method for adjusting a position of a printhead having the printhead support structure and coupled to a printhead support 215' includes: applying a force to a first portion of the printhead support to effect a translational movement of the first portion; converting the translational movement of the first portion into a rotational movement of a second portion of the printhead support; and applying the rotational movement of the second portion to the printhead.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5D-F
